About OlyaPaw

Species Lore

OlyaPaw are monsters that feed off of positive emotions from other creatures.  They mainly stay near those who feel mainly positive emotions, while their counterpart, the Chasen species, focus on consuming negative emotions.  OlyaPaw originally evolved from Chasen, and do continue to share many characteristics, such as the ability to eat negative emotions... but they do prefer positive emotions as their main food source, and will kindly allow others to feel good emotions along with them.

Each OlyaPaw has their own unique personality and character!

Overview

• OlyaPaw are a closed species that have anatomy most similar to a canine + cervid (deer), with additional extra fluffy fur!  Their hind legs are always hooved, while their front legs/arms are always paws (which are allowed to have toe beans).
  
  
• All of the blue on the guide will be generally the same colour throughout the design.  Generally, it is referred to as 'Resin slime' colour, and all other parts, aside from ear-fins (3) may be allowed to have varying textures, going from dripping to hard based on the temperature of the OlyaPaw!

Anatomy

• the Head should have a long snout, similar to a canine or cervid (deer) species.  They are allowed to have teeth or small fangs, found on any real-life animal, except from animals that are sabre-toothed or have tusks (Proailurus, Boars, Hippopotamus, Elephants, etc)
  
  
• Hair is allowed, it can be in any style that is possible in real-life, and there is no limit to how long it is.
• The important parts: All of the blue on the guide should be the same colour.

1. 1. Resin Slime Horns 
      
      • Made of slime
      • Horns are optional 
        
        
   2. Tongue
      • Made of slime, same as their slime in the body (It is the same thing as blood, tears, saliva and other bodily fluids)
        
        
   3. Fins
      • Soft fish fins, are semi-transparent (not made of slime)
      • They must have as least 2 fins each behind each ear.
      • Shouldn't be bigger than their head
        
        
   4. Resin Secretions
      • All OlyaPaw must have slime accreted from their body! They must have a few small pieces of slime on their back. They are the same texture as soft slime, and can't be another texture such as real bones or any other hard material. They also must look semi-transparent.
      • OlyaPaw slime is their bodily fluids, it is also their blood, saliva, and tears.  The slime is full of Resin-energy from the Ancient tree.  The slime covers their body.
      • It is mandatory to have at least two pieces on their back.
      • It should not cover more than 50% of the character, the size should not be bigger than your palm.
      • It should not replace/cover/hide any other traits / or parts of body, they will only be accreted on the body.
      • OlyaPaw designs that don't have this trait, or have real bone, rather than slime, will no longer be accepted.
        
        
   5. Familiar
      • Slime familars are made up of OlyaPaw's slime.  They store a small amount of the host's Resin magic within them.  If another creature consumes an OlyaPaw's familar, it takes a small amount of the host's Resin-magic.  (They rarely do this unless it is necessary, such as an OlyaPaw's/Chasen's extreme exaustion or injury

   6. Slime Tail
      
      • OlyaPaw generally have a slime tail, it shouldn't be longer / bigger than 2x the body length.

• Body base 
  1. Front Paw - based on canine anatomy, smaller or more like feline paws is okay!
  2. Hind Hooves - based on the hind legs of a deer!

Adult OlyaPaws are generally between the size of a wolf and a deer.

Baby OlyaPaws only have two resin secretions

and only a single ear-fin on each side!
